November 13-14 Sweet Harmony The art and variety of the duet, for sopranos and for violins, in music by Monteverdi, Barbara Strozzi, Handel, Purcell, Buxtehude, and early American composers. February 19-20 Isabella’s Circle The vision of Isabella d’Este, cultural and political influencer, and patroness of the arts in renaissance Mantua. Music of Ockeghem, Cara, Tromboncino, and more. April 9-10 Musical Landscapes Across the Americas with guest ensemble Incantare Music for singers, violins, lutes, trombones, and organ from the Spanish Americas and beyond. With Florida as its starting point, this concert expands to Spanish territories throughout the Americas, including sonorous polyphony, upbeat villancicos, and stately dances from Mexico, France, Guatemala, Peru, and the Iberian Peninsula. April 30-May 1 Bach and the Edge of Order Leon Schelhase, solo harpsichord. Featuring the dazzling freedom of Bach’s keyboard toccatas, and works by Buxtehude and Frescobaldi that inspired and shaped the form.
