Paris

A hub of musical activity in the 18th century, Paris inspired and supported composers such as Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Georg Phillip Telemann, Boismortier, and Couperin. In private salons, audiences mingled with musicians and heard the latest in musical styles.
